Biography: Lucia Fontana was born in Milan in 1973, and is a psychologist and therapist. Singing, dancing, watercolors, and poetry are her passions. She devoted herself to the continual confirmation that creative expression constitutes fulfilling experience. A quest for synthesis in her poetic style arrived at haiku and tanka at the end of 2014; states that these poems are like poetic fragments, frames of ‘here and now’, of wonder and beauty of cosmic life. She says they are even more so if hidden in the humble details are small tiaras of mystery, where man, accepting impermanence is filled, and then probes with wonder the world outside and within him, transcending matter and be brought to a feeling of love and communion within the whole. One of her favorite quotes is, “The morning breeze has secrets to reveal. Do not go back to sleep.” (Rumi)
She is working on her first collection of poems in the form of eBooks to be followed by an anthology devoted to haiku and tanka. Many of her poems in the Japanese style are gathered here on her blog “Cha No Keburi (Smoke Tea)” in the original language (Italian) and English.
